meth mouth
The Sept. 2013 issue of Men’s Fitness magazine had an article comparing the effects of soda, meth and crack on your teeth. A University of Michigan study compared the mouths of a longtime crack cocaine user, an admitted methamphetamine user and an excessive soda drinker (two liters a day for three to five years): the subjects also had poor oral hygiene. All participants had the same type and severity of tooth erosion due to the consumption of highly acidic substances–ie: the corrosive ingredients used to make meth and crack or the citric acid contained in soda. Grab a glass of water and leave the fizzy stuff alone!
